Gravitydrift is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains clearly and honestly what information is collected when you use this site, how it is used, and what choices you have. We believe in minimal data collection — we only store what is strictly necessary for the game to function.
You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information to play Gravitydrift. The game is designed to be as anonymous as possible.
By using Gravitydrift, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect very little information, and none of it is personally identifiable by design.
ss_fp. This identifier is used solely to prevent duplicate ratings — so that one person cannot rate the same level multiple times. It is not tied to your identity, your IP address, or any other identifying information. It is a random string that means nothing outside the context of this game.We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, location data, device identifiers beyond localStorage, or any other personal information.
Gravitydrift uses your browser's localStorage to store one item:
ss_fpa3f9b2c1-...)localStorage is not a cookie. It is not sent to our servers automatically on every request. It is only transmitted when you submit a rating, and only the fingerprint value itself is sent — not any other browser data.
You can view and delete this value at any time by opening your browser's developer tools (F12 in most browsers), navigating to Application > Local Storage, and deleting the ss_fp entry. Alternatively, clearing all site data for gravitydrift.app will remove it.
When you create and save a level using the Level Editor, the following data is stored on our servers (hosted by Supabase):
Saved levels are public. They appear in the Saved Maps browser and can be played by any visitor to Gravitydrift. Do not include personal information in your level names or any other level fields.
You can delete your saved levels at any time from the Saved Maps management page.
Gravitydrift uses a cookie consent banner on your first visit. The banner asks whether you accept cookies used for advertising purposes. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key gx_cookie_consent (value: accepted or declined).
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site (open developer tools → Application → Local Storage → delete the gx_cookie_consent entry). The banner will reappear on your next visit.
If you decline cookies, advertising cookies from Google will not be set by this site. You may still see non-personalised ads, or no ads at all, depending on Google's configuration.
The first-party localStorage items used by Gravitydrift are:
gx_cookie_consent — your advertising cookie consent choice (accepted or declined).ss_fp — your anonymous rating fingerprint (random UUID, see below).Neither of these values is transmitted to our server automatically. They are sent only when you actively submit a rating (ss_fp) or when AdSense scripts are initialised after consent is granted.
Gravitydrift may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. These cookies are set by Google, not by Gravitydrift, and are governed by Google's own privacy policies.
Google's advertising practices comply with the IAB standards. Google may use the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads and may share data with other Google services as described in their privacy policy.
To opt out of personalised advertising by Google: visit google.com/settings/ads. You can also opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative at networkadvertising.org/choices.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use sites that use Google services, see policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not run any other analytics platform (such as Google Analytics) beyond what AdSense introduces. We do not track page views, session durations, or navigation patterns at the application level.
Gravitydrift uses the following third-party services:
We do not share your data with any other third parties. We do not sell data. We do not use data brokers.
Gravitydrift is designed to be suitable for all ages, including children. The game contains no violence, adult content, or harmful material.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The anonymous fingerprint system does not collect any personally identifiable information, and no account creation or age verification is required to play.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has submitted personal information to us in some way (for example, in a level name), please contact us via the contact page and we will promptly delete it.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Because Gravitydrift collects no personally identifiable information, most GDPR rights (such as right of access or portability) have limited practical scope. However:
gx_cookie_consent entry from localStorage. The legal basis for processing the anonymous fingerprint is legitimate interest (preventing rating fraud). The legal basis for advertising cookies is consent, obtained via the cookie consent banner.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with certain rights. Gravitydrift does not sell personal information. The anonymous fingerprint used for rating deduplication is not personal information as defined under CCPA. If you have questions, please use the contact page.
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, formal data subject rights (such as GDPR access requests) have limited applicability here. However, we respect your control over your own data in the following ways:
For questions, concerns, or requests related to this privacy policy, please use our contact page. We take privacy questions seriously and will respond promptly.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Gravitydrift after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will not make material changes to how we handle data without updating this policy prominently.
